Accelerating Innovation in the Development, Validation and Manufacturing of Drones using Simulation
September 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Drones are an emerging category of engineering advancements – from miniscule science projects a few decades back to now being a full-blown industry. Today, drones have a variety of applications across industries such as defense, urban mobility, photography, delivery, area measurement, emergency services, etc. Essentially, drones have become much more relevant than ever before.
The wide arsenal of uses is supported by technological advancements like simulation. Simulation is an all-round tool system for design and validation. Simulation has led to in-depth design innovations of all components such as motors, propellers, avionics, etc. These better designs can then be tested in real-world scenarios on the simulation software. This not only saves time but also the cost of testing. Overall, simulation has the ability to accelerate product development while bringing costs down substantially.
To encourage the adoption of such optimized design and development approaches, the Drone Federation of India in association with Ansys is organizing a webinar that will focus on “Accelerating Innovation in the Development, Validation and Manufacturing of Drones using Simulation”.
This webinar shall give the audience an opportunity to understand how physics-based modeling and simulation are leveraged to achieve a more efficient overall design of drones. Participants would also get a chance to interact with esteemed speakers and professionals contributing to this area.
The detailed agenda for this webinar is as follows:
⋄ Key challenges in the design and development of drone systems
⋄ Various challenges associated with propulsion, navigation systems, aerodynamics, avionics, motor design, materials, etc
⋄ Role of physics-based simulation in encouraging the development of indigenous systems
⋄ Importance of simulation in design validation and certification
⋄ Highlights of the Ansys Startup Program and special offerings of the bundle
